With its revered brand history combined with its commitment to using the latest advanced engineering methods, Chater-Lea's branding needed to look thoroughly modern but with a warm embrace of its heritage. A thorough brand Foundations exercise led to a refined monogram and wordmark pairing.
As a Direct Native Vertical Brand - that is to say a brand that sells direct to the consumer - the very high quality of the products had to be communicated in all its collateral. Exceptional studio photography and exacting art direction were essential in all materials Nous produced.
Any Luxury product demands beautiful print and packaging. For Chater-lea we made sure every element was considered. Sophisticated print techniques produced a very high quality result. Look, feel, structure and housing, even scent was given full attention.
Chater-Lea's website was designed to be rolled out in stages. The initial site was designed as a simple one-page e-commerce and data capture platform, with later editorial site sections added. Nous's input was focused on landing section messaging, photography and imagery.
